Technical Architect

Preferably full time, permanent position.  May consider long-term contract or contract to hire.

The role you will play:

The Technical Architect role will identify any potential problem areas or technical improvements, recommend solutions, and work closely and cooperatively with the Project Manager to resolve issues quickly and fairly.
The Technical Architect ensures IT architectural integrity and functions as the interface between systems developers and IT Project Management. The Technical Architect provides coordination, oversight and leadership for the analyses, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of IT architecture and infrastructure design framework to align IT approaches with IMMS’s mission, goals and business processes.
Other Duties include:
  • Manage technical processes and requirements.
  • Partner with IT management to acquire appropriate technical assistance for areas such as enterprise architecture, database, software development, security, testing, and product deployment.
  • Support the Architecture Owner in the definition of the Architecture and creating an architecture runway to enable business capabilities to be deployed.
  • Leverage current architecture approved software before proposing other software, unless a business case is provided.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the data cleansing and conversion strategy and plan.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 4 years’ experience in the technical architecture and leadership of .NET/C# projects
  • 2 years of experience leading the development on at least two (2) agile software projects.
  • 2 years of experience decomposing business and system architecture to support multi-team development.
  • 4 years of experience in a lead capacity working on IT projects managing the design, development / configuration, implementation and deployment of the type of solution proposed for this project.
  • 2 projects as experience in a lead capacity working on IT projects which involved the design, development / configuration, implementation and deployment of a web- based system to at least three (3) geographically separate facilities (i.e., physically separate facilities such that the network is separated by firewalls).’
  • Hands-on experience with .NET and customization, application architecture, and data architecture.
  • Continuous Integration with customizable off the shelf (COTS) based system using tools such as Jenkins, svn, MSBuild, or similar.
