Help Desk

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Enter, track, and update IT ticket items through in-house ticketing system
  • Provision new User accounts and Computer systems as needed
  • Maintain proper communications between requestors and top support level
  • Monitor IT infrastructure and the environment in general
  • React to detected issues and alerts by following set processes and procedures established by IT
  • Identify and document high priority issues and escalate to appropriate IT teams
  • Participate in project work as required by senior project managers and the CTO
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Two-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent course of study
    (work experience in the IT field will be accepted in lieu of a two-year degree).
  • Industry-related certification desired but not necessary
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
 
BASIC AND OR MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • New Hire Orientation
  • Safety Awareness Training
  • ISO Awareness Training
  • On-the-job training with IT associates as directed by the VP of IT Infrastructure or the CTO and experienced technical personnel (day-to-day operations) until new associate demonstrates ability to work independently (up to two months)
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • May need to sit or stand as needed.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
